Cgarmel, IN- The Alfred State men's lacrosse team saw four Pioneers earn Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCLC) All-Conference honors as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Matthew Bridges and
Brendon O'Donnell garnered First-Team honors. Bridges earned this honor as an Attackman. The freshman from Lake View, NY led the team in goals as he netted 50, while also adding 16 assists. Bridges also grabbed 68 groundballs and caused 23 turnovers.
O'Donnell was a First-Team Midfielder. The junior from Eden, NY tallied 12 goals and 25 assists. He picked up 54 groundballs and caused 11 turnovers.
Earning Second-Team honors was
Brady Nugent and
Ryan Batson. Nugent was honored as a Long-Stick Midfielder while Batson was honored as a Short-Stick Defensive Midfielder. Nugent season totals were, 94 groundballs, 37 cause turnovers, six assists, and five goals. Batson tallied 11 goals, 49 groundballs, seven cause turnovers, and one assist.
The Pios will return to action this weekend as they travel to Kentucky for the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament. The will take on Hanover on Saturday, April 25 at 7 pm.
