Chi Alpha Sigma is a national scholar-athlete society that recognize four-year college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. An average of 8,000 student-athletes representing four-year institutions from across all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA, and USCAA are inducted annually to this society. Our Alfred State chapter has over 100 inductees since joining in 2018-19.
To achieve this honor an undergraduate student athlete must participate in a sport at the varsity intercollegiate level, achieve junior academic standing or higher, and earn a 3.4 and higher cumulative grade point average.
Selection for membership is on an annual basis by the athletic department nomination process and is based on outstanding scholarship, earned athletic letter winner, and excellent character and citizenship.
