Five different Pioneers scored as the Alfred State lacrosse team fell 18-5 at Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon. The contest wrapped up the Pioneers four game road trip.

The Lions scored the first eight goals of the game. They led 3-0 after the 1st, 7-0 at halftime, and 13-3 after three quarters. Bryn Athyn was 3 for 5 with the man-up and caused 23 Pioneers turnovers.

Aaron Buck (Churchville) had a goal and an assist while Joe Wittmeyer (Hamburg), Patrick Matkoski (West Genesee), Nicolas Covelli (Carmel), and Ryan Colgan (Warwick Valley) scored once each.

Nolan Frame led the Lions with six goals and three assists while Ryan Landels recorded three goals and three assists. Bryn Athyn outshot the Pioneers 41-26 on the day.

The blue & gold are back in action on Wednesday when they host Brockport at Pioneer Stadium at 4 p.m.wp
