Buffalo, NY- The Alfred State Women's Outdoor Track and Field team completed the day at the UB Alumni Meet with eight top-10 finishers.
In pole vault,
Mya Goral took home first place with a best jump of 2.75 meters. Goral is now fifth all-time in program history in women's pole vault.
Oli Kraynik would earn second place in the 800m race, crossing the finish line in 2:12.02. Kraynik is currently in the top-20 in NCAA in the 800m event. In the 300m steeplechase,
Ava Sylvester took home eighth place with a finishing time of 13:02.72 minutes.
In field events, the hammer throw event saw
Janiesha Dureny take seventh place with a best throw of 42.32 meters. Dureny is now fifth all-time in the hammer event.
Lily Rafferty followed with a ninth place finish, with her best throw being 38.25 meters.
Gabby Thurmond grabbed two top-10 finishers on the day, the first being the discus throw event as she earned seventh with best throw of 28.50 meters. She also notched seventh place in javelin throw with a best of 26.05 meters.
In high jump, Bri Prescott took home seventh place with a best jump of 1.46 meters. With this best, Prescott is now 10th all-time in women's high jump.
The Pioneers will head to Fredonia, NY for the Blue Devil Invite next weekend. Time still to be announced.
