Pioneers Had A Great Showing In Their Season Opener

Houghton, NY- The Alfred State women track and field team tallied a few top 10 finishes in the indoor season opener at Houghton.

Oli Kraynik had two top 10 finishes. In the 600 meter, she ran a 1:27.11 for 10th place. Then in the pole vault, she jumped 2.70 (8'10") for ninth place. With that in in the 600 meter, Kraynik moves into fourth all time in Pioneer history. She also moved into third all time in the pole vault.  

In the weight throw, Mackenzie Gillette placed 26th with a throw of 10.27. That throw put her at ninth all time in school history. Also in this event, Jileena Stearns threw a 9.52 for 32nd place.

Then in the 200 meter, MacKenzie Haeffner ran a32.11 for 38th place, while Tashae Samuels ran a 33.29 for 39th place.
