The Alfred State women's track and field team finished the remainder of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championships on Sunday in Alfred, N.Y.
After a competitive weekend, the Pioneers coaching staff received the honor of Coach of the Year.
Emma Taggart (New Windsor) had a very impressive outing and was honored as the Field Athlete of the Meet. Taggart won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.08, placed 2nd in high jump with a height of 1.50m, placed 2nd in long jump in 4.99m, and placed 2nd in shot put with a distance of 10.79m.
Sara Rivet (Waterford) won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:11.91 and also placed 2nd in the javelin throw with a distance of 23.25m.
After winning the triple jump yesterday, Madison Snayczuk also won the long jump in 5.06m. She also placed 3rd in the 100-meters in 13.22.
Madeline Cole (Homer) placed 4th in the long jump with a distance of 4.77m while Sarah Daunce (Clifton Springs) placed 6th in 4.63m.
Annaliese Hersom (Bergen) finished 4th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 17:03.74.
The 4x100-meter relay of Cole, Snayczuk, Rivet, and Laura Walter (Lancaster) placed 2nd with a time of 52.06. The 4x400-meter relay of Cole, Katherine O'Buckley (Queens), Laura Ferris (Victor), and Rivet also placed 2nd in 4:36.69.
In the 100-meters, Cole finished 2nd in 13.00 while Leilani Sloan (Rochester) finished 5th in 13.91.
Cole finished 2nd in the 200-meters with a time of 27.99 while Sloan finished 5th in 28.88.
O'Buckley placed 5th in the 800-meters in a time of 2:51.85 and Ferris finished 6th in 2:44.25.
Summer Kier (East Rochester) finished 6th in the 5000-meters with a time of 23:40.02.
The Pioneers will compete next Sunday at Nazareth.
