The Alfred State women's track and field team had nine top-eight finishers at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.

The Pioneers have not competed since Saturday, Dec. 11. at the Utica Holiday Classic.

Oluwatobi Adebowale (Elmont/Valley Stream North) won weight throw with a personal record of 13.84 meter (45-05.00).

Alyssa Delany (Hornell) finished second in long jump (4.85m 15-11.00) and third in the 60-meter hurdles (9.97). Her preliminary time of 9.89 seconds was a personal best.

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) placed second in high jump (1.51m 4-11.50) and eighth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.22).

Sarah Daunce (Clifton Springs/Midlakes) was third in long jump with personal best of 4.72 meters (15-06.00) and was sixth in triple jump (9.76m 32-00.25).

Lily Schnell (Olean) finished seventh in long jump (4.44m 14-07.00) and eighth in triple jump (9.47m 31-01.00)

The Pioneers are back in action Friday, Jan. 28 as they head to RIT for a 4 p.m. start.
