The Alfred State women's track and field team opened their indoor season at Houghton College Friday evening and had nine finishers in the top-ten of their events
Oluwatobi Adebowale placed fourth in weight throw (13.09 meter (42 feet 11 ½ inches) and ninth in shot put (9.65 meter (3 feet 8 inches)).
Alyssa Delany finished sixth in in triple jump with a mark of 10.12 meters (33 feet 2 ½ inches).
Emma Taggart was seventh in high jump with a mark of 1.46 meters (4 feet 9 ½ inches).
Sarah Rivet placed seventh in the 800-meters with a time of 2:49.59 while Mattison Buckley was eighth in 2:50.26.
Sarah Daunce finished eighth in triple jump with a mark of 9.89 meters (32 feet 5 ½ inches).
Nicole Hume was eighth in shot put with a mark of 9.81 meters (32 feet 2 ¼ inches).
The 4x400 meter relay team of Katherine O'Buckley, Taggart, Isabelle Popoff and Rivet placed sixth in a time of 4:48.04.
The Pioneers travel to Brockport on Saturday, Dec. 11 for the Brockport Open starting at 10 a.m.
