Jordyn Pettit (Wellsville), Marissa Sly (N. Tonawanda), and Julia Yanarella (Wappingers Falls/Roy Ketcham) won events as the Alfred State Track & Field team competed at the Allegany County Classic. In dual meet scoring the Pioneers finished 1-2.

Pettit won the pole vault with a leap of 2.30 m, Sly won the 100 hurdles in 18.73, and Yanarella won the javelin with a toss of 28.96 m.

Veronica Dailey (Addison) was 2nd in the 3,000 (12:02.54), Julia Russell (Candor) was 3rd in the 400 m (1:07.97), Katherine Frascella (Franklinville) was 4th in the 3,000 (13:18.23), and Sly was 4th in the high jump (1.25 m). 

Alfred State defeated AU 59-50 but fell 68-43 to Houghton and 92-42 to Daemen.

The Pioneers return to action on Friday, April 12th at the Cortland Invitational.
