The Alfred State women's indoor track & field team began 2019 by competing at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational.

The distance medley relay team of Veronica Dailey (Addison), Katherine O'Buckley (Queens/Francis Lewis), Delaney Ward (Adams Center/South Jefferson), and Olivia Leonti (Port Byron) finished in 2nd with a time of 15:36.68.

Emily Brigman (Lancaster) was 14th in the 60 hurdles (10.17) and 19th in the long jump (4.91 m).

The Pioneers are back in action next weekend when they travel to Brockport. Multi action starts on Friday afternoon while the Brockport Invitational starts on Saturday.
