Will Rollison Named To CSC 30 Under 30

Alfred, NY- College Sports Communicators (CSC) has named the recipients of its 30 Under 30 Class of 2025. Alfred State's Director of Athletic Communication Will Rollison, '19, was included in the group of honorees. The 30 Under 30 honor recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative and digital spaces.

Will Rollison returned to Alfred State College in 2023 as the Director of Athletic Communications, stepping into a role that felt more like a homecoming than a new hire. A former four-year men's basketball student-athlete, Sport Management major, and senior-year Sports Information intern, he quickly applied his deep connection to the program to elevate its communications efforts.

In just three years, Rollison has led a full modernization of Alfred State's communications operation — strengthening written and digital content, improving statistical accuracy and record keeping, and transforming live-streaming through the launch of the Pioneer Sport Network. His leadership has also introduced Media Days, enhanced year-end celebrations, expanded graphic and promotional output, and developed hands-on training that has significantly advanced the department's photography and video production capabilities.

"Will is incredibly deserving of this recognition from CSC, and I'm grateful to the organization for honoring the impact he has made on both our institution and the industry," said Director of Athletics, Jason Doviak. "Since joining our staff, Will has elevated every facet of our sports communication efforts. He has expanded our social media reach, produced dynamic and engaging graphics, enhanced our live streams with high quality play-by-play and color commentary, and significantly improved the quality of our photography at home and on the road. His creativity, work ethic, and commitment to excellence have made a tremendous difference in our department."

Beyond communications, Rollison plays a substantial role in the broader athletics ecosystem. He manages gameday operations, teaches in the Sport Management program, serves on key campus committees, and contributes as an assistant men's basketball coach. His dedication earned him the 2024-25 William Havens Award, honoring the staff member who most significantly advances the athletic department's mission. He further invested in his professional growth by attending the 2025 Division III Institute for Administrative Advancement.

Rollison adds, "I am beyond grateful to be recognized for an award like this… This award lets me know I am on the right path…and it motivates me to keep learning and contributing to the industry."

Rollison's path also includes impactful stops at Waldorf University and the University of the Cumberlands, where he built foundational experience across numerous varsity programs and digital platforms.
