Alfred, NY- The Alfred State volleyball team saw four Pioneers garner AMCC All-Conference honors, with Gloria Stem earning Newcomer of the Year honors.

Freshman, Gloria Stem earned Second-Team All-Conference to go along with Co-Newcomer of the Year honors. The Erie, CO native, played in all 27 matches and led the team in kills as she tallied 314 and averaged 3.20 kills per set, while scoring 364.5 points. Stem also put in 255 digs, 40 aces, 16 total blocks, and 11 assists.

Alayna Tomlinson and Erin Gregoire earned Second-Team All-Conference honors for the second straight year. First for the Rochester, NY native Tomlinson, she tallied 310 kills while averaging 3.23 kills per set and scoring 375.5 points. The Junior would also put in 58 aces and 13 assists. On the defensive side, she tallied 248 digs and 12 total blocks. Then for the Phoenix, NY native Gregoire, she notched 148 kills and 16 aces while hitting .324. On the defensive side, the Junior led the team in blocks as she tallied 55 total blocks and 47 digs.

Gabriella Thurmond took home Third-Team All-Conference honors. The Ithaca, NY product tallied 910 assists which put her over 1,000 career assists. That makes her the fifth Pioneer in the NCAA era to hit that mark. The Junior also led the team in aces with 73, while tallying 194 digs, 34 kills, and 23 total blocks.
