Austin, TX- Silas Egenlauf from the Alfred State Football Team garnered CSC Academic All-America Second-Team honors.
Egenlauf, a Construction Management major, finished the semester with a 3.88 GPA. In 11 games played the senior linebacker recorded 126 total tackles, 67 solo tackles, two interceptions, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and a pick-six. He was also named ECFC Defensive Player of the Year and earned First-Team Defense this past season.
Eight honorees on the Academic All-America® Division III football teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 25-man first team has an average GPA of 3.84, with the entire 51-man team combining for a collective 3.82 GPA.
