Collegeville, PA- The Alfred State Outdoor Track and Field teams competed at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships where two Pioneers placed top five in their events. The Men's team finished 19th out of 44 teams.
JJ Howard took home fourth place in the high jump with a best of 2.02 meters, only .08 meters away from the first-place finisher.
Ben VanVranken also notched fourth place but in the pole vault with a best jump of 4.71 meters.
Christian Wescott secured seventh place in the 800m race, finishing in a time of 1:54.62 minutes.
In the hammer throw,
Greg Raymond finished in 12th place with a best of 50.98 meters. Brandon Russel slotted a 13th place finish in the discus throws with a best of 42.97 meters.
Jerome Harmon also grabbed 12th place but in the 100m as he crossed the line in 10.86 seconds. In the triple jump,
Aden Alexander notched 18th place with a best jump of 13.36 meters.
On the women's side,
Emily Richardson earned 16th place in the high jump with a best of 1.55 meters.
Oli Kraynik took home 26th place in the 800m, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:21.00. In the hammer throw,
Janiesha Dureny completed her event in 30th place with a best throw of 41.28 meters.
