Brockport, NY- The Alfred State men's track and field team tallied 26 top 15 finishes at the Brockport Invite and Multi.
Christian Wescott won the 800-meter run after running a 1:57.02, followed by
Carson Hulka in seventh with a time of 1:59.80.
In the 100-meter dash, Harmon took fourth after crossing the line in 11.18. Waldon finished right behind him to take fifth with a time of 11.23. Also, in that event
Marco Quinteros finished 12
th with a time of 11.40. Then in the 110-meter hurdles, Andrew Earley (16.63) and
Tommy Cycon (17.07) took 11
th and 12
th respectively. Waldon would also take 10
th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.01.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase,
Nolan LeBaron took 10
th place after finishing in 11:04.61.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Earley (1:00.28) took ninth, while
Keenan Murray (1:01.96) took 10
th, and
Alex Marthia (1:07.31) finished 14
th.
The relay team of
Dean Brainard, Myke Waldon,
Jordan White, and
Jerome Harmon qualified for AARTFC after finishing in third in the 4x100 with a time of 42.85. Then the relay team of Earley,
Mamadou Barry, Hulka, and Wescott finished fifth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:34.20.
Looking at the field events,
JJ Howard won the high jump after a best jump of 1.89 meters. Marthia took sixth after jumping 1.78 meters.
Henry Smith took the win in the javelin throw after a best throw of 51.12 meters. Crowe (44.94 meters) took fourth and Nerone (36.83 meters) took 13
th.
In the long jump,
Tyler Konter finished in seventh with a best jump of 6.42 meters, followed by White who had a best jump of 6.41 meters. Then in the triple jump,
Aden Alexander had a best jump of 13.15 meters to take fifth place.
In the hammer throw invite,
Greg Raymond finished in second after a better throw of 52.43 meters,
Ehren Pettapiece followed in 10
th place with a best throw of 45.47. Then in the shotput, Raymond finished eighth with a best throw of 13.80 meters. In the hammer throw open,
Matt Goodwin finished eighth after a best throw of 40.95 meters.
