Alfred, NY- The Alfred State baseball program saw five Pioneers earn AMCC All-Conference honors as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.

Jordan Hughes headlined The Pioneers honorees, earning First-Team All-Conference honors as a designated hitter; he was also named a Third-Team All-Conference pitcher. He batted .327 on the year and tallied 53 hits. Of the 53 hits, Hughes tallied 11 homeruns and 13 doubles for a total of 53 RBIs. The sophomore finished the year with a .611 slugging percentage and a .424 on-base percentage. As a pitcher, the Utica, NY native had a 4.52 ERA in 63.2 innings of work. He posted a 6-5 record on the year in 13 starts. He threw two complete games and struck out 61 batter.

Zach Young garnered Second-Team All-Conference honors as a first baseman after leading the team in several offensive categories. The senior led the team in batting average (.364), hits (56), and fielding percentage (.994).  He tallied 12 doubles and six homeruns for a total of 40 RBIs. The Binghamton, NY native had a .558 slugging percentage and .429 on-base percentage.

Also earning Third-Team honors was Dominic Morsch as a relief pitcher, Matty Eygabroad as a shortstop, and Frank Grad as an outfielder. Morsch made 19 appearances for a 1-1 record. He carried a 5.40 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched and struckout 21 batters. Eygabroad hit.295 on the year with 38 hits, including four homeruns, three doubles, and a triple for 27 RBIs. Grad batted .282 with 48 hits and eight stolen bases. He added four doubles, three homers, and two triples, totaling 17 RBIs.
