Houghton, NY- The Alfred State Men's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the Houghton Last Chance Conference Qualifier, where many Pioneers showed out.

Four Pios brought home first place titles at todays invite.
Christian Wescott took first in the mile with a time of 4:27.96. In the 60m hurdles, Andrew Early crossed the line first in a time of 8.89. Brandon Russel notched first place in the weighted throw with a best throw of 12.03 meters. In pole vault,
Ben VanVranken secured first place with a best jump of 4.50 meters.

In the 5000m race,
Max Knight crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 16:42.99.
Nolan LeBaron took home seventh, with a time of 17:48.79 and
Liam Hudson took home nineth place in 18:38.45.

In the 400m,
Ethan Hanford notched sixth place, crossing the finish line in 55.20 seconds, Early following behind in seventh place in 55.89 seconds.

Jerome Harmon secured second place in the 60m dash, where he qualified for the AARTFC's with a time of 6.99 seconds. Harmon also notched third place in the 200m, coming in with a time of 23.14 seconds. Myke Waldon slated himself a sixth place title in the same event with a time of 23.42 seconds.

Carson Hulka and
Mamadou Barry placed top 10 in the 800m race, coming in fourth and nineth place respectively, with times of 2:03.26 and 2:08.18.

Matt Goodwin and
Ehren Pettapiece took home second and third place in the weighted throw with bests of 13.58 meters and 13.57 meters respectively.
Jared Nerone notched fifth place with a best of 12.77 meters and
Dustin Burke notched sixth with a best throw of 12.36.
Austin Freer also took home nineth place with a best throw of 11.26. All five Pioneers also placed top-10 in shot put.

In pole vault, JT Mariotti secured second place behind VanVranken, with a best jump of 3.70 meters.
Colin Daley also notched third place with a best of 3.60 meters.

In the long jump,
Tyler Konter came home in third place with an overall best jump of 6.61 meters.
Aden Alexander would then take second place in the triple jump with a best of 13.88 meters.

Lastly,
Alex Marthia notched seventh place in the high jump with a best of 1.70 meters.

SUNYAC Indoor Championships will be held next weekend in Brockport, NY.
