Rochester, NY- The Alfred State men's cross-country team opened the year with an eighth-place finish at the Bockport Tom Balon Alumni Classic.

Christian Wescott was the first Pioneer across the line as he finished 20^th with a time of 16:07.7. Max Knight crossed the line a few seconds later with a time of 16:40.3 to take 45^th place. Then the freshmen trio of Andrew Coriaty, Carson Hulka, and Nolan Lebaron finished in 91^st, 118^th, and 128^th respectively.

Rounding out the rest of the Pioneer roster was Mamadou Barry in 129^th, Liam Hudson in 131^st, Grayson Montague in 140^th, Aiden Jasper in 143^rd, and Christian Spreizer in 154^th.

Alfred State will take next weekend off before heading back to Rochester, NY for the Yellow Jacket Invitational on September 20^th.
