Pios Blow Out La Roche On Senior Day

Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Men's Lacrosse team notched their fourth season win and first conference win on senior day against the La Roche RedHawks, 24-6.
 
Griffin Doan led ASC in todays weekend win notching six goals and assists. Colby Pasiut, Ryan Batson and Dom Rosettie trailed right behind him with four of their own goals. Mike Wojcik tallying three of his own. Jesse Young and Luca Campanelli also grabbed a two goals on senior day. Jeremy Nunez took home the win in the net with seven saves on the day.
 
La Roche was first to find the back of the net to which the Pioneers were quick to respond as Rosettie notched his first two goals of the season, his first being assisted by Doan. Pasiut would then tack on the Pioneers third goal and his seventh, assisted again by Doan.

The Redhawks would snag a quick goal which was responded by Batson and Pasiut good goals, 5-2.

Rosettie would notch his third goal of the game with eight minutes left in the second period, putting ASC up 6-2. After another Redhawk goal, Wojcik would notch his 16th goal of the season, Pasiut netting his third right after. Doan would close out the second period with the Pios seventh goal, assisted by Campanelli.

During the third, ASC pounded five additional goals from Doan, Rosettie, Batson and Jesse Young. La Roche managed to snag two of their own goals. Wojcik would end the period with his second goal of the game, 16-5.
 
The Pioneers reached their 20th goal of the day when Young found the back of the net assisted by Pasiut. ASC holds off the RedHawks and notches four more goals on the day to bring home the win 24-6.
 
The Pios will be back on the field next weekend to take on Pitt-Bradford at 1 pm.
