A Glut And Two Hat-Tricks Lead The Pios To Victory

Bradford, PA- The Alfred State Men's Lacrosse team grabbed a win on the road against UPB in a tough match-up, 13-8.
 
Colby Pasiut fired up the Pios and led the way with five goals today. Griffin Doan also notched three goals on the day with three assists. Mike Wojcik added three of his own goals with Mike Coburn and Dom Rosettie also aiding one as well. Matthew Burris grabbed the win in goal with eight saves.
 
Two minutes into play, Pasiut found the net first, assisted by Wojcik. He quickly notched his second goal of the day at the 9-minute mark. The Panthers put themselves in the game with a goal only seconds later, 2-1. Pasiut grabbed another goal to which Pitt-Brad fired right back. The Pios and Panthers both scored one more time before the end of the first period, 4-3.
 
ASC tacked on three more goals in the second period while they held UPB to two goals, going into halftime with a score of 7-5. Doan led ASC in the third period with three goals, while Pasiut aided with one. Pitt-Brad managed to tally one lone goal during the period, 11-6.
 
To kick-start the final period, Rosettie netted his first goal of the game, putting the Pios up by six with 12 minutes remaining. The Pios found the net one time and held UPB to two more goals as they took home the win, 13-8.
 
ASC will be back on the road on Wednesday to take on Elmira with a 7 pm start.
