Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Women's Lacrosse team fell to the Mounties in a hard battle on their senior day, 8-6.
 
Karlee Hargather notched a haul in today's contest, with Abigail Lussier tacking on a hat-trick. Cadence Pierce tallied 10 saves on the day.
 
The Mounties notched the first goal within four minutes of play. Hargather and Lussier were quick to respond as they each netted goals, putting the Pioneers up at the end of the first period, 2-1.
 
In the second period, MAC grabbed two consecutive goals allowing them to take the lead 3-2. Lussier changed that on a free position goal at the 11 minute mark, tying the game, 3-3. Mount tallied two more goals before half as they took control, 5-3.
 
MAC held the Pios scoreless during the third period as they were able to add two goals to the board, 7-3.
 
 Hargather and Lussier would both notch their third goals of the game, earning them the title of a hat-trick for the day. The Mounties tacked on their own goal as the Pios gave everything they had to make a comeback. Hargather would drive one more goal into the net to make it a haul for her day.
 
The Pioneers aggressiveness and endurance was not enough as they fell short to Mount Aloysius, 8-6.

ASC will be back on their home turf, Thursday against La Roche. Start time is set for 5 pm.
