North Adams, MA- The Alfred State men's lacrosse team takes the 13-3 win over MCLA. The Pioneers move to 2-2 on the season.
Brendon O'Donnell led the Pios with six goals, four assists, and five groundballs. Mike Wojcik was right behind him with a hat trick, an assist, five groundballs, and three cause turnovers. Matthew Burris picked up the win in goal after tallying eight saves.
Ryan Batson opened the scoring with a goal three minutes into the game. O'Donnell followed with a goal from a Griffin Doan pass for the 2-0 lead headed into the second quarter.
The Pios extended their lead in the second by netting four goals. Batson opened the quarter with his second goal in the first two minutes of the quarter. O'Donnell netted the next three goals to take a 6-0 into the break.
O'Donnell would stay hot in the second half, as he opened the quarter with a goal. Wojcik followed with back-to-back goals to give ASCÂ the 9-2 lead heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, the Pios continued to add to their lead as they went on to win 13-3. The Pioneers will be back on the road this Wednesday, March 12 for a game against Lycoming at 5 pm.
