Keuka, NY- The Alfred State Women's Lacrosse team battled hard but fell to the Keuka Wolves, 11-10.
 
The Pios came out of the gate quickly, scoring two goals within two minutes of play. Karlee Hargather notched her 14^th goal of the season and the first goal of the game. Abigial Lussier followed suit grabbing her 10^th goal of the season.
 
The Wolves were able to retaliate and grab three of their own goals, putting them up at the end of the first period, 3-2.
 
Alaina Kaczmarczyk notched the Pioneers third goal of the game at the 10-minute mark, 3-3. Keuka quickly earned their fourth goal putting them back up 4-3. In a matter of thirty seconds, Madison Le and Lussier found the back of the net putting ASC in the lead 5-4. The Wolves would take the lead 6-5 going into halftime.
 
After half, Hargather would find the net five minutes into play tying the game 6-6. The Wolves would fight and go on to score two consecutive goals 8-6. The Pios would clap back and tally two goals after a weather delay tying the game again, 8-8. Allison Bateson would grab a goal of her own, putting the Pios up 9-8 until the Wolves notched two of their own.
 
Even after a Jaiden Williams goal with two minutes left in the game, Keuka was able to hold ASC by one goal, taking home the win, 11-10.
 
The Pioneers will be back on the field this Saturday in Cresson, PA to take on the Mount Aloysius Mounties at 10 am.
