Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Men's Lacrosse team fell short to the Bethany Bisons in today's Wednesday match-up, 14-6.
 
 
The Bisons notched five goals before Ryan Batson was the first Pioneer to find the back of the net, scoring his sixth goal of the season. The score at the end of the first period was 8-1.
 
Bethany grabbed two more goals to kick-start the second period but the Pioneers picked up the energy on this cold Wednesday as they notched two back-to-back goals by Luca Campanelli assisted by Batson and Colby Pasiut, 10-3 going into halftime.
 
ASC scored first in the third period as Pasiut notched his third goal of the season assisted by Griffin Doan. The Bisons would then snag three goals putting the score at 13-4 as they head into the final period.
 
Doan would tally the fifth goal of the game assisted by Pasiut. Bethany would react fast scoring one goal to which Batson would follow suit tacking on his seventh goal of the season, 14-6.
 
The Bisons would hold the Pioneers the remainder of the game taking home the win, 14-6.
 
ASC will be back on the field next Wednesday in Hiram, OH at 5 pm.
