Houghton, NY- The Alfred State Men's Track and Field team showed out at the Houghton Last Chance Qualifier! Three Pios winning first place titles in their events.
In the 60m final, Marco Quinteros earned sixth place with an impressive time of 7.27.
Nick Drabinski ran a 24.08 in the 200m final, earning him ninth place. In the 400m final, Drabinski notched fifth place with a time of 55.51. Connor Schreiber grabbed eighth place with a time of 56.75.
Ethan Hanford came in right behind Schreiber in ninth place with a time of 56.94.
Christian Wescott earned fourth place in the 800m final with an impressive time of 2:01.56.
Mamadou Barry coming in seventh place with a time of 2:02.50.
Max Knight ran an impressive 9:22.48 in the 3000m final, as he won the event.
In the high jump final,
Gavin Stearns notched second place with a best jump of 1.80 meters.
Dean Brainard came in fifth place with a best jump of 1.70 meters.
Talan Green also jumped 1.70 meters and came in seventh place.
In the pole vault final,
Ben VanVranken had a best of 4.05 meters, coming in first place. JT Mariotti came in second with a best of 3.90 meters.
Dylan Cannon notched third place with a best of 3.00 meters.
Tyler Konter won the long jump final with a best jump of 6.47 meters.
Aden Alexander notched fourth place with a best jump of 6.40 meters. Konter also notched fourth place in the triple jump final with a best jump of 12.56 meters.
In shot put,
Tyler Lantrip grabbed fourth place with a best throw of 12.90 meters. Brandon Russell notched sixth place with a best throw of 12.72 meters.
Greg Raymond notched second place in the weighted throw final with a best throw of 12.28 meters. Russell also notched fourth place with a best throw of 13.41 meters.
Kyle Kapichok grabbed fifth place with a best throw of 13.13 meters.
The Pios will head to Brockport next Friday for the SUNYAC Championships.
