Pioneers Sit In First After Day One

Buffalo, NY-  The women's swim and dive team had a great opening day at the AMCC-SUNYAC championship. They are tied for first with SUNY Cortland at 90 points.

The team of Alyssa James, Emma Merrick, Mallory O'Keefe, and Madison Snayczuk won the opening event the 200 medley relay. They touched the wall 1:47.54 to set a AMCC Conference and Championship Meet record. They followed with another win in the 800 free relay after touching the wall in 7:58.84.

On the 3-meter board, Haleena Reygers took sixth place with a score of 280.55. Shelby Nerber was right behind her in seventh with a score of 269.85.

The Pioneers will be back in the pool at 10 am for session three.
