York, PA – The Alfred State men's wrestling team took 10^th place at the New Standard Corporation Invite, with Sean Malenfant winning the 184 bracket. 

Malenfant tallied five falls on his way to winning the bracket. On Friday, he took down Sam Tignor (WL), and Julian Schott (Mary) with second round falls. Then in the quarterfinals, he notched a 2:46 fall over Jake Gross (URSI) to advance to day two in the champion's bracket. On day two, he took down Luke Theis (TCNJ) in 2:16 to move to the first- place match. In the finals match he notched a 1:44 fall over Xavier Pommells (Ithaca) to take the championship. 

Also securing a win at the invite was Brandon DellaPia (165), Chris Herriman (174), Christian Warren (165), Mason Drew (133), Owen Cummings (157), and Richard Morales (141).

The Pioneers compete next weekend Saturday, December 13^th at the King's College Duals. First dual starts at 10am.
