Syracuse, NY – The Alfred State men's wrestling team tallied nine place finishes at the NYS Collegiate Championship Open. The Pioneers finished with 121 points to take seventh place. 

Sean Malenfant was the top finisher in 184 Open Bracket as he took third place. After falling in his first match, Malenfant won five straight matches. He tallied four falls, including the fall the put him over the 100 career fall wins marks. 

In the 133 Open Bracket, Mason Drew took fifth as he tallied two falls and a tech fall victory.  

In the Freshman / Sophomore brackets, Tyler Zwald (141) took second, Tyler Simon (141) took fourth, Kyle Meyer (149) took sixth, Brandon DellaPia (165) took fifth, Chris Herriman (184) took sixth, Keeran Timerman (184) took fifth, and Pierce Tran (197) took sixth.
