Alfred, NY- The Alfred State women's soccer team defeated the La Roche Redhawk 1-0, to move their win streak to three in a row. The Pioneers advanced to 7-4 on the second and 3-0 against AMCC foes.

Maddie Mark scored the lone Pioneer goal, with Gracelyn Teijeira tallying the assist on the play.  Madeline Cox tallied two saves as the Alfred State defense held the Redhawks to two shots on goal.
After some back and forth action to start the half, Teijerira found Mark open in box for a goal and the 1-0 lead in the 40^th minute.

The Pioneers were able to hold off the La Roche attack the rest of the game to secure the 1-0 win. The Pioneers will be on the road to Cresson, PA to take on Mount Aloysius on October 11^th for a 1 pm kickoff.
