Selinsgrove, PA- The Alfred State men's track and field team tallied 17 top-15 finishes at the River Hawk Invite.
Tyler Lantrip won the shotput event after throwing 13.57 meters. Greg Raymond took 11th with a best throw of 12.40 meters. Jairo Agosto had a best throw of 12.11 meters for 13th, while Brandon Russell took 15th with a best throw of 11.91 meters.
Ben VanVranken picked up a win in the pole vault after a best jump of 4.00 meters. JT Mariotti took sixth in the event after a best jump of 3.55 meters.
Christian Wescott tallied a 13th place finish in the 800-meter run after crossing the line in 2:06.73.
In the long jump, Tyler Konter was the Pioneers top finisher, as he took sixth with a best jump of 6.44 meters. Aden Alexander took seventh (6.39 meters) and Jordan White took eighth (6.25 meters), while Issac Rivet came in 15th (6.00 meters).
In the weight throw, Raymond took second place with a best throw of 14.97 meters. Agosto followed in fourth place with a best throw of 13.55 meters. Then in 13th, 14th, and 15th were Kyle Kapichok (12.20 meters), Russell (12.20 meters), and Lantrip (12.19 meters).
In the distance medley, the team of Christian Wescott, Nick Drabinski, Mamadou Barry, and Max Knight took third with a time of 11:10.73.
