Buffalo, NY- The Alfred State football team fell short in a tough game against Buffalo State. The Pioneers drop to 1-3 on the season.
On the defensive side of the ball, four Pioneers tallied seven tackles as Conner McWilliams lead the way adding two sacks as well. David Harrell and Donnell Hall came away with their first interceptions of the season.
Noah Currier led the way on offense as he tallied 116 yards on 12 carries. Justin Horvath went 13-19 for 21 yards.
In today's low scoring defensive showdown, the Bengals got on the board first with a field goal to take a 3-0 into the halftime break.
Buff State would break the hearts of the Pioneers with a late touchdown in the fourth quarter for the 10-0 lead. Then the Bengals would get a safety as they went on the win 12-0.
The Pioneers will return home next Saturday Oct. 5 to take on Newport News Apprentice School at 12 pm.
