Houghton, NY- The Alfred State Women's Soccer team took another setback today against Houghton, 1-0. The Pios record now sits at 2-5-1 with their first conference game right around the corner.

ASC came into this match up looking for a win, as they took a tough loss this past Saturday against Allegheny. With the Pios determined, they were able to protect their net up until the 36
th minute, as a Highlander was able to find the back of the net.

Kate Sproul tallied 5 saves on the night, holding the Highlanders back for a majority of the game. The Pioneers were unable to tack a goal onto the board tonight, allowing Houghton to take home a win, 1-0 after 90 minutes.

The Alfred State Women's Soccer team will be back on Saturday to match up against Mount Aloysius in their first conference game of the season, kick off set for 4:30 pm.
