Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Women's Soccer team fell 2-0 in a hard-fought match against Alfred University. The Pioneers drop to 1-2-1 on the season.
 Kate Sproul tallied six  saves on the day.
After a scoreless first half, the Saxons stuck first with back-to-back goals to take a 2-0 lead.
The Saxons was able to hold off the Pioneers offense to pick up the win
Alfred State will be back home Saturday 9/14 to take on SUNY Canton at noon.
