Rosemont, PA- The Alfred State Womens Soccer team started their season aggressive today, bringing home a win against Rosemont 2-0.

The two lone goals of the game were scored by Pioneers,
Madison Kice finding the back of the net first in the 22
nd minute. The Ravens were unable to kick back as the second goal was scored by
Allison Lundmark after halftime, in the 62
nd minute assisted by
Karlee Hargather.

Kate Sproul guarded the net for ASC, ending the game with 7 impressive saves. The Ravens took 7 more shots than the Pios, but Alfred State stayed determined, winning their first season game.

The Pioneers take the field again tomorrow on their home turf against Chatham University, game time set for 2pm.
