Alfred, NY- The Alfred State men's basketball suffers a loss to Clarkson, 77-63. The Pioneers fall to 2-9 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
Darius Cunningham Jr led the way for the Pios as he put in 14 points on 4-9 shooting from behind the arch. Michael Miller tallied 10 points, while Dylan Perry added nine points of his own.
After a back and forth start to the game, the Golden Knights were able to go on a run at the end of the half to take a 37-27 lead into the break.
Cunningham Jr opened the second half with a three, but Clarkson continued their run pushing the lead higher. The Pioneers were able to go on a late to cut the lead down to 77-63 but could not get any closer as the Knights ran the clock out.
The Pioneer will be back in action on January 4th as they travel down to Greensburg, PA to take on the Panthers at 1 pm.
