Alfred, NY- The Alfred State women's swimming and diving team split the day as they took down Pitt-Bradford 190-32 and fell to PS Altoona 169-104.
Madison Snayczuk picked up three wins on the day, starting with a first-place finish in the 200 free, as she touched the wall in 2:05.13. She followed with a win in the 50 free with a time of 25.40. Then in the 100 free, she touched the wall in 55.55 for her third win of the day. Also, in the 200 free, Lydia Lapierre came third with a time of 2:08.48. Gabriela Leite came in third in the 50 free (26.88), while Adriana Gill came in third in the 100 free (59.97).
Mallory O'Keefe picked up two wins as well, her first win came in the 200 fly after touching the wall in 2:21.64. She would tally her second win in the 500 free, with a time of 5:38.81.
Shelby Nerber notched her first two wins of the season after winning the 1-meter board with a score of 141.95, and the 3-meter board with a score of 135.97. Haleena Reygers finished second on both boards.
Alyssa James tallied two second place finishes in the 200 back (2:24.04) and in the 100 back (1:06.46). Jen Dickens notched a third-place finish in the 100 breast (1:25.05), while Leite had a third place finish in the 100 fly (1:10.91).
The Pioneers won both the 400-medley relay and the 200 free relay. In the 400 medleys, the team of James, Snayczuk, O'Keefe, and Leite finished with a time of 4:17.23. Then in the 200 free relay, the team of O'Keefe, James, Gill, and Leite finished with a time of 1:46.60.
The Pioneers will take next week off before heading to Fredonia for the Blue Devil Invitational on November 22nd to the 24th.
