Princeton, NY- The Alfred State women's wrestling team competed at the Princeton Open. Dianna Pineda took home eighth place finish in the 124 bracket.

Pineda went 2-2 on the day. After suffering a loss in her opening match Calli Gilchrist (Doughgirls), she picked up the first victory of the season for the team. It only took Pineda 32 seconds to get a fall victory over Calista Mitsianis (Delaware Valley). Then she followed with a tech fall victory over Karley Perrini (Felician). After another loss, Pineda found herself in the seventh-place match. That match ended up being a no contest match, where Pineda earned eighth.

The Pioneers will be home Thursday 11/7 for their home opener against Delaware Valley at 6 pm.
