Saratoga Springs, NY – The Alfred State men's basketball fell short against Skidmore 85-57. The Pioneers drop to 0-3 on the season.
The Pios were led by Darius Cunningham Jr. who tallied 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Dylan Perry and Michael Miller added eight points and five rebounds each. Miller would also put in five assists.
After a back-and-forth start to the game the Thoroughbreds went on a run to take a 14-point lead into half, 39-25.
Darius Cunningham would open the second half with back-to-back to cut the deficit down to 39-31. A few possessions later, Dylan Perry knocked down a three of his own off a Micheal Miller pass. After getting a stop, Ben Sneddon put in a layup off a Cunningham Jr. pass, 43-36. From there, Skidmore regained their momentum to got it back to a double-digit lead, where it stayed the rest of the game as they would go on to win.
The Pioneers will be back in action tomorrow Nov 17th as they take on Mount Saint Mary College at 3 pm.
