Alfred, NY- Alfred State men's basketball fell to the Mount Union Raiders 100-63. After the game, Pios drop to 0-2 on the season.
Michael Miller led the way for the Pioneers with 17 points along with two steals. Dylan Perry chipped in with 9 points of his own.
To start the first half, the Raiders got off to an early lead, but the Pios rallied together to get back in it. Darius Cunningham and Miller chipped in to bring the score to 8-8. Dylan Perry also contributed a 3-pointer to shorten the deficit.
In the second half, the Pioneers received a shot from distance by Zy Switzer who scored his first bucket of the season. Avery Cunningham had the hot hand in the second half by dropping 7 total points. Pioneers couldn't get any closer as the Raiders would go on a run to win the game.
The Pioneers will head to Skidmore college to face off against the Thoroughbreds Friday, November 15 at 7pm.
