Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Women's Soccer Team fell in their final regular season matchup 1-0 against the visiting Pitt Greensburg Bobcats. The Pioneers end the regular season with an overall record of 4-9-3 and a 2-4-2 record against conference foes.
The first half action was back and forth with the Bobcats having most of the chances, as they took four shots. The Bobcats broke the deadlock at the end of the 1st half in the 32nd minute with a long-range free kick effort from 40 yards out which ended up being the lone goal of the match.
The Pioneers were able to tally four shots in the second half although not finding the back of the net, as the Bobcats would go on to take the 1-0 win. Kate Sproul ended the match with five saves in net for the Pioneers.
