Altoona, PA-  The Alfred State Women's Soccer team's season came to a close in a tough loss against Penn State Altoona, 5-0. The Pioneers end their season with an overall record of 4-10-3.
 
The Lions started off the scoring three minutes into the match with a well timed through ball that went through the Pioneers defense and the Lions finished off the breakaway chance. The Lions scored five minutes later to increase their lead to two. Altoona scored in the 37^th minute to make it 3-0 at the half. The Lions went on to score two more goals in the second half while the Pioneers could not find the back of the net.

With the 5-0 loss the Pioneers 2024 season officially comes to a close.

Karlee Hargather ends the season leading the Pioneers in points with 16, goals with 6, and assists with 4. Allison Lundmark and Madison Kice also put up 3 goals each. Kate Sproul ends the season in goal with 71 saves and a 0.651 save percentage.
