Geneseo, NY- The Alfred State women's swimming and dive team fell against Geneseo 203-85. Emma Merrick won two events and finished second in two events.
Merrick won the 200 breast with a time of 2:39.17, she followed with a win in the 200 IM after touching the wall in 2:25.64. Merrick then notched a second-place finish in the 100 breast after touching the wall in 1:12.89.
In the 50 free, Madison Snayczuk came in second with a time of 25.77, and in the 200 free, she came in third after touching the wall in 2:04.01. Mallory O'Keefe finished in second in the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.20, she followed with third place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:28.51. Lydia Lapierre finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:44.72, Gabriella Passero right behind her in third with a time of 3:09.51.
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Alyssa James, Merrick, O'Keefe and Snayczuk, finished in second place with a time of 1:55.16.
The Pioneers head to Rochester next weekend to face Nazareth at 1 pm.
