The Alfred State men's track and field team had seven top-seven finishes at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.

The Pioneers have not competed since Saturday, Dec. 11. at the Utica Holiday Classic.

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) won the 5000-meters with a new personal record of 15:53.92.

Dylan Perlino (Holland) finished second in weight throw (14.86m 48-09.00) and third in shot put (12.31m 40-04.75).

Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville/Williamsville East) took third in long jump (6.60m 21-08.00).

Esaias Brumfield (Warners/West Genesee) finished fourth in 60-meter dash with a new personal best of 7.26 seconds.

Derek Walter (Lancaster) placed fifth in 60-meter hurdles with a personal best of 9.29 seconds.

James Olson was seventh in weight throw (11.53m 37-10.00).

The Pioneers are back in action Friday, Jan. 28 as they head to RIT for a 4 p.m. start.
