The Alfred State men's track and field team opened their indoor season at Houghton College Friday evening and had ten finishers in the top-ten of their events.
Dylan Perlino placed third in shot put (13.37 meters (43 feet 10 ½ inches) and seventh in weight throw (12.31 meters (40 feet 04 ¾ inches).
Nathan Chambers finished third in wight throw (14.53 meter (47.08.00 inches) and tenth in shot put (10.65 meters (34 feet 11 ¼ inches).
Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff was third in the 200 meters with a time of 23.58.
Gavin Bathgate placed fifth in the mile with a time of 4:45.62 and eighth in the 3000-meter run in 9:20.62.
Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff finished sixth in long jump with a mark of 6.51 meters (21 feet 4 ¼ inches).
Jesse Johnson was seventh in high jump with a mark of 1.79 meter (5 feet 10 ½ inches).
Moses Pedroso placed seventh in long jump with a mark of 10.65 meters (34 feet 11 ¼ inches).
The Pioneers travel to Brockport on Saturday, Dec. 11 for the Brockport Open starting at 10 a.m.
