The Alfred State softball team split a doubleheader at SUNY Delhi on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos took the opener 14-4 while the Pioneers won the nightcap 12-3.

Stormi Kruger (Medina) had a big day at the plate to pace the Lady Pioneers. She was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI in the opener. She collected the Lady Pioneers lone extra base hit, a double.

Kruger kept rolling in the nightcap finishing 3 for 4 with 6 RBI. She collected a single, a triple, and hit the Lady Pioneers first homer of the season.

Claire Hartman (Alden) also had a big day finishing 3 for 4 with a RBI. Courtney McDaniel (Dansville) finished with 2 RBI. The blue & gold collected 11 hits in the game.

Jordan Leonard (Lancaster) picked up the victory on the mound.

The Lady Pioneers are slated to host Geneseo on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 3 p.m.
