Blaine Phillips joined the Pioneer coaching staff as the Defensive Backs Coach in the Summer of 2024. Coach Phillips comes to Western New York after a stint as the Co-Wide Receivers Coach at his alma mater, Methodist University. During his first season on the staff as the Co-Receivers Coach at Methodist, Kobe Praylow was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-American Team. Praylow finished the 2022 season third in the nation in receiving yards.Â
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Coach Phillips was a Wide Receiver at his alma mater. During his time at Methodist as a student-athlete, the Monarchs finished a with perfect record during the 2020 regular season.
As a prep standout at Princeton High School in North Carolina, Coach Phillips was a two time conference champion. At Princeton High School, Coach Philips was apart of an offense that was one the national leaders in rushing yards.
