Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Softball team dropped their home conference matchup to Pitt-Bradford 10-1. The Pioneers drop to 8-13 on the season and 3-4 in conference play.
Brianna Buscaglia led the Pios with two hits on two at bats.
Trinity Scott recorded one RBI off her only hit. Haily Lacko was able to score the only run for ASC.
Marissa Ordway suffered the loss in the circle.
The Panthers took any early 2-0 lead in the first while holding the Pioneers scoreless. Bradford didn't let up in the next inning scoring six more, pushing the lead to 7-0. In the third, Scott was able to single up the middle, advancing Lacko home to score the only run of the game for Alfred State as the Panthers took the game 10-1 in five innings.
The Pioneers next travel to Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday, April 18
th for a conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1pm.
