Alfred, NY- The Alfred State women's basketball team saw two members earn AMCC All-Conference honors, after a season they finished fourth in the AMCC with a 16-11 record.
Senior, Taylor Benjamin (Newark Valley, NY, Newark Valley) garnered Second-Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career after taking home Third Team honors the past two seasons. The Newark Valley native led the Pioneers in Points (330), Points Per Game (12.2), Steals (62), and Blocks (29). Benjamin became the third Pioneers in program history to eclipse the 1,000 as she ended her career with 1,144 points. She also tallied three-double-doubles this season all in conference play.
Emeline Barton (LaFargeville, NY, LaFargeville) took home Third-Team honors in her first season as a Pioneer. She led the team in assists (70) and Assists Per Game (2.7), total rebounds (211) and offensive rebounds (74) as the start guard. The LaFargeville, NY native tallied 288 points, at 10.7 ppg, and 61 steals. The freshman notched five double doubles on the year with four in conference play and one in the playoffs.
