Pittsburgh, PA- The Alfred State Men's Basketball team concluded their season last night as they fell in the quarterfinals of the AMCC tournament, against La Roche, 74-61.

Darius Cunningham Jr. led the Pioneers offensive with 20 points and seven rebounds.
Kennyh Hardeman added 10 points of his own while grabbing 14 rebounds, recording a double-double.
Ben Sneddon would also tally eight points on the night.

La Roche set the tone early, stretching a lead to double-digits midway through the first half. The Pios battled back behind strong interior play from Cunningham Jr. and Hardeman, eventually tying the game 25-25 with three minutes left in the first half. The Redhawks responded in the closing minutes and carried a 35-27 lead into halftime.

ASC continued to show fight throughout the second half, cutting the deficit to seven after threes from Sneddon and
Mykell Lawson. Each time the Pioneers made a push, La Roche answered. Alfred State could not complete the comeback they were hoping for as the Redhawks pulled away in the final minutes to secure the 74-61 win.

The Pioneers closed out their season with a 5-21 overall record, 3-13 in conference play.
