Alfred, NY- This week's Pioneer Athletes of the Week are Taylor Benjamin (Women's Basketball) and Mykell Lawson (Men's Basketball).
 

Taylor Benjamin (Newark Valley, NY, Newark Valley) led the Pioneers to a 2-0 week as she averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game. She opened the week with 17 points and nine rebounds in the win over Pitt-Bradford. She also tallied five blocks and four steals in the effort. Benjamin followed with a 21 point and eight rebound outing in the win over Mt. Aloysius.
 

Mykell Lawson (Greensboro, NC, Eastern Guilford) provided consistent offense for the Pioneers all week as he averaged 22.5 points, four rebounds, and four assists. He opened the week with 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists against Pitt-Bradford. He followed with a 21 point outing against Mt. Aloysius.
